What is Augmented Reality?

Augmented reality is were virtual elements are used and made to interact with the real world environment.
Basically virtual and real world elements are combined together to create something interactive.
Examples of this in practice are the new iphone applications available were users can use the camera on the phone and hover over barcode like shapes and play interactive games. In some application you can get useful information.
